Getting Involved

Are you looking to get involved with a group of individuals striving to improve the world of STEM, build connections with the local community and develop a professional network. The American Society of Civil engineers is exactly that, from hosting educational events for schools of all levels to hosting professional networking events to help the growing engineer. ASCE does it all and is looking for likeminded individuals to get involved.

ASCE Jacksonville branch is constantly hosting/planning events that with the betterment of the individuals who participate in mind.

Some of our most recent events included helping fund, volunteer and plan the 2023 ASCE Student Southeast Symposium, a three-day event Hosted at UNF that encouraged young engineers to display their engineering knowledge in friendly competition. The board also helped with Engineers Week, Race for Relevance, Beers with Engineers, Science fairs and so much more.

One of the benefits of getting involved with ASCE and the Jacksonville branch is the development of a better professional network. Many of the individuals who attend these events are fellow engineers and individuals looking for new hires who are involved in organizations like ASCE.

However, one of the best benefits is working with likeminded individuals who want to give back to the committee and help improve the world of engineering.
