ASCE Jacksonville Branch is made up of over 700 professionals across Northeast Florida. There are 13 Branches in the Florida Section. The Jacksonville Branch was founded in 1951 and covers the Counties of Nassau, Baker, Duval, Clay, St. Johns and Flagler.
Jacksonville Branch holds monthly luncheons, hosts networking socials and fundraising events throughout the year, and keeps members connected with Section, Branch and National leaders.
ASCE’s mission is to provide essential value to our members and partners, advance civil engineering, and serve the public good.
In carrying out our mission, ASCE advances technology, encourages lifelong learning, promotes professionalism, develops civil engineer leaders, and advocates infrastructure and environmental stewardship.

Michael Nee, P.E.
ASCE Jacksonville Branch President
We were very proud to receive (for the second year in a row), the 2026 Small Branch of the Year Award, which was based on program excellence, communications, and activities held throughout the year. But that's not all! Our very own City of Jacksonville's Director of Public Works, Nina Sickler, won Government Engineer of the Year; local University of North Florida professor, Dr. Ryan Shamet, won Engineer of the Year; and ASCE Jacksonville YMG President, Madeline Batey, won Young Engineer of the Year. All in all, great work team! The recognition our members and branch received this year was no small feat and we hope to carry this momentum into the next ASCE calendar year (October 1st through September 30th). If you want to be a part of our success, nominate yourself or someone else for the 2026-2027 Jacksonville Board or nominate yourself to join a Committee (more information on that below). We hope you will join us as we strive to make Jacksonville a place to thrive!
