Overview
Kimley-Horn’s Jacksonville, Florida (FL) office is seeking a Structural Engineer-in-
Responsibilities
- You will have the opportunity to work on bridges, retaining walls, and other structural design efforts related to public and/or private bridge projects throughout the country
- Prepare bridge/structural plans, specifications and estimates for clients
- As a critical member of the team, you will perform a variety of engineering tasks and will receive both on-the-job and formal training as well as mentorship and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience with a civil engineering design firm
- Bachelors or Masters from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering
- Holds “Engineer-In-Training” or “Engineering Intern” certification
- Experience utilizing software programs for general structural analysis
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
- Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
- Ability to work independently and as a team
