ASCE Bridge Florida is back for the 20th Annual competition!
On April 11th, 2026 from 1-3 PM the ASCE Jacksonville Branch hosted the local Bridge Florida Competition (formerly Engineering Encounters and historically known as the West Point Bridge Design Contest). Northeast Florida Middle and High School Students had the opportunity to compete in a virtual competition, where students learned a video-game like program to produce a virtual bridge! Schools in Baker, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Nassau, and St. Johns Counties are welcome to participate in this annual event.

Winners from the local Jacksonville Branch competition received a trophy, recognition, and an invitation to the Statewide Competition taking place during the ASCE Florida Section Annual Conference on July 23-25, 2026, in Fort Lauderdale (Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort)! Congratulations to our local winners and we look forward to hosting this local competition again next year!
